Recently I went to get a health checkup where I had to have some of my blood (a couple of drops) tested to get a quick health synopsis. Long story short they told me I was fat, needed to cut down on carbs and simple sugars, and to get more exercise. This news albeit already known to me has spurred me to start changing my dietary and exercise habits for the better. One of the first goals is to start walking to more places and stop using things such as elevators and escalators. Secondly, I have been cutting down on stuff such as bread and substituted that for whole grains, beans, lentils, and peas. I am hoping that these little changes will help spur more large-scale changes in the future.
